Mounting a Virtual Floppy Disk Image RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, for a while I have wanted to create a small OS. to begin it, I would need to edit the boot sector of a disk. The program I want to use is debug.exe. It works fine, except the MS-DOS emulator doesn't allow access to the physical hardware. Recently I installed Windows 8 Pro, then installed Hyper-V then Windows XP mode. I am able to edit a virtual floppy disk drive I named FloppyA.vfd . OK actually question time, sorry If I was confusing, I want to take the .vfd and mount it to a CD ROM. I will download any software necessary. Once again, sorry for the confusingness If you have any questions please ask
