Improved application architecture RRS feed

  • Question

  • Been using a T-Mobile Wing for about 2 weeks now.

I am a UI designer, so put alot of thought into how I interact with various aspects of the device.

Overall, I like the functionality and the task path for opening apps.

I notice a lack of connectivity between files and interacting with applications.

Ex: I can browse to an image or video, but can't "right-click" (or winmo equivalent) to send. Instead I have to go through messaging, New SMS/MMS, then insert the mutimedia file.

Other thing I notice is the use of system memory.

I installed a 2GB microsd card, and then reinstalled several apps to the card.

Why can't in switch all apps to use the memory card? Or better yet, let the device use the 2GB micro card as a cache of sorts?

I am just getting started with the SDK, so once I dive deeper I will add more observations.

I really like the OS so far!

  • Interesting observations and good suggestions Mike.  I know the developers are looking in this forum so continue to offer your thoughts ... hey you never know, someday you might get a new device and see one of your thoughts implemented.
