My laptop crashed, I belive because the battery was empty. When I try to restart the computer I'm running into the following:
When I start up my computer I'm running to a black screen with a cursor. clr,alt,del does not work. It happens in between the "starting windows" logo and the password screen.
The computer runs fine in safemode. I tried disabling startup programs and I tried reinstalling the graphics card driver through device manager but nothing has worked.
I'm afraid doing a fresh installation of windows might ruin my computer because my computer is a school computer and has (what I think is) some sort of custom image on the computer. Besides I don't have a disc to do a reinstall .I just don't really want
to drive all the way to my school in the summer for tech to work on it...Would doing a fresh installation of windows ruin my computer? Where could I get a disc?
The computer is an HP EliteBook 8560w.
Any help would really be appreciated!
