multiple 'Server Synchronization Provider' instances ? (to handle a large amount of concurrent traffic) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does N-tier architecture support multiple  'Server Synchronization Provider' instances ?

The multiple  'Server Synchronization Provider' instances would point to a single instance of SQL Server 2005.

The goal is to scale up to handle a large amount of concurrent traffic.

I assume the   'Server Synchronization Provider' instances would be sitting behind a firewall and a load balancer.

    Thanks ,

  • that should be supported. However, you need to ensure the sqlconnection object assigned to each syncprovider is new() so they are not sharing the same sqlconnection object.
