windows updater (error 80040154) and system restore (volume shadow copy not working) not working

  Am worried about these problems. As far as I can see, the vsc IS working and I have tried to correct the other error without success.

  I am running vista home premium SP2 32-bit on a medion laptop.

  Can any of you kind and knowledgeable people point e in the right direction please?
