Lead Email - Cannot send email in Dialog

Hi,
I have setup a Dialog to manage Leads. I have added some logic to ask if the customer would like an email sent containing info.
As the lead has not been converted to a contact or account how can I send the customer an email in my Dialog workflow? I seems to need a contact record? Not just a plain text email?

use the "Send Email" step and insert the Lead into the Email To field
