How to restore shared folders from a backup on an external hard drive? RRS feed

    My server was acting weird, so I plugged up an external HDD and backed up all of my shared folders to the external drive via the backup server function under computer computers and backups.

    I then totally nuked the server.

    I now have a fresh installation of WHS with no data, but I have the server's shared folders backup on an external drive.  I have it plugged up, and it sees it and all.  Now, how do I get the server to copy the files on the external drive into its shared folders?

    You can find that info in the Help section of the Console.  That specific section is titled "Tell me more about restoring my home server".
