word 2002 activated, still 0x80180101 message

Question
-
I always used the microsoft office site to update my word 2002 (part of works suite 2004). For about 1 or 2 weeks now this does not work anymore: The genuine/office-site says, my word needs activation ("Micerosoft Word 2002: Gultigkeitsprufung unvollstandig: Office muss aktiviert werden" [0x80180101] ), and word says, it is activated ("Dieses Produkt wurde bereits aktiviert"). I tried to solve the problem by deinstallation and reinstallation of my works / word2002 from the original dvd, but I got the same messages. Manual updates (download of patches/updates from the microsoft homepage) also do not word, because download of some updates also requires activation....
What can I do?
Michael

One question remaining: Why??
Okay, now there are at least two new data.dat files (of same date and time) on my computer. Have they been there before? And why was it not possible to validate the newly installated works/word2002, which activated itself automatically? Yes, there was a new data.dat file after this automatic activation, but maybe only one instead of two or even more? Maybe Microsoft should post a warning message on the office update site, pointing out that a kind of "refresh" of the activation might be necessary now, even for a new, activated installation of word.
