Thermal Printer and Data Corruption RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello. I have a .NET application for printing tickets on a Epson thermal printer and it works fine most of the times. But sometimes I get weird characters. Check the example below.

It was supposed to print a logo, but I got this mess instead. To me it seems clear that some of the first bytes were corrupted or missing. Therefore, the whole command was damaged. I also don't believe it's something I would be able to solve in my code, as it looks like some hardware failure, but my users don't care whose fault it is. I understand it might also not be related to .NET, but I don't know where else to ask. Maybe some more experienced POS programmer could point me the direction.

    Thank you.
