CRM 2013 Product Kit navigation not showing on form upgraded from CRM 2011

  Our client is an on premise client who upgraded to CRM 2013 from CRM 2011.  We've noticed the "Kit Products" navigation does not show on the 2011 (Information) form but does display on the 2013 form (Product). 

  Running through the debugging, it is due to iskit not being a valid attribute on the Information form. 

  Since the iskit attribute cannot be added manually through customization, is there a solution to getting the iskit attribute on the Information (CRM 2011 upgraded) form?
