    The product key of my ACER , Aspire 7738G is not readable, can some one help me to retrieve the key?thanks

    If your installation is still running, you can retrieve the installed Key using Belarc Advisor (www.belarc.com )
    If it’s not running but still on the drive, then you will need to boot using a third-party OS, and retrieve the Key from there.
     
    If it’s no on the drive – then your only chance is to contact the manufacturer and hope that they have a record of the Key (AFAIK, none do).
     
    Note that frequently, the Key found by such means is the manufacturer’s own OEM_SLP Key – which will work only with the manufacturer’s Recovery disk set. In your case, that Key will end with the characters 7QJB7, assuming the installed OS is Win 7 Home Premium. (let us know which OS it is, if something else)
