Update Rollup 3 RRS feed

  • For those of you interested or who might be affected; I installed Update Rollup 3 in two different Client Environments and ran into an issue publishing workflows.  If you run into this issue, you might be able to resolve it by taking the following steps.  These were provided to me from Microsoft Support and it resolved the issue for me.

    This is a known issue after installing UR2 but should not happen with UR3 please review the instructions below to resolve it.

    Known issue after you install Update Rollup 2

    When you publish a workflow in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 after you install Update Rollup 2, you may receive the following error message:
    The selected workflow has errors and cannot be published. Please open the workflow, remove the errors and try again.

    If platform tracing is enabled, you may see the following error message:
    Type System.Globalization.CultureInfo is not marked as authorized in the application configuration file., ErrorCode: -2147201023

    To resolve this issue, open the Microsoft CRM Web site Web.config file in a text editor such as Notepad, and then add the following lines to the authorizedTypes section:

    <authorizedType Assembly="mscorlib, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" Namespace="System.Globalization" TypeName="CultureInfo" Authorized="True"/>
