Cannot change CRM server configuration RRS feed

    Hi,

    I need to remove the backend role on a CRM 2013 environment.

    So I logon with the installer user on CRM Server.

    Start the CRM setup via Add Remove programs,  Configure, unselect Back End Server.

    On the SystemCheck I get Red Cross Error "The specified user name and password can not logon."

    In the crmserversetup.log I get 

    "Error| Check ServerClaimsEncryptionCertificateValidator : Failure: The specified user name and password can not logon."

    I have no errors in eventlog on CRM or ADFS.

    It turned out that the backend server was RTM and the frontend was SP1 UR 3.

    (299 euro) Lesson learned : Always check all servers versions.

    Hi Alexander,

    when you do a repair is it also the same error? Is the User also a member in your deployment manager and also DB sysadmin?

    When disabling adfs and ifd also same error?
