  • What is replacing OneCare when my subscription expires in Feb 2010 ? Will it offer security as well as backups, tuneups etc.?

  • Microsoft Security Essentials is a good replacement for One Care malware protection. Microsoft Security Essentials - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/default.aspx?mkt=en-us#dlbutton The tune up function of One Care already exists in Windows but as individual operations. Disc cleanup and disc defragmentation can be run on demand or as scheduled tasks. Backup may be included, depending on your version of Windows but if you don't already have backup capability you may have to turn to a third party application such as Acronis True Image.
