Presence status always offline in Outlook 2003 for resource forest RRS feed

    Hi

I made a lab environment with a resource forest and a user forest: user forest is as our prod forest, including Exchange 2003 and user accounts. Resource forest is AD prepared for OCS, and OCS is installed. (Exchange 2007 was also installed in this resource forest, hope it is not an issue).

I created trust, DNS forwards, create disabled user accounts, add OCS certificate to the user's pc, and change NTLM authentification on OCS. So I can successfully launch Communicator on a user's PC and connect with SSO on OCS.

Outlook agenda synchronisation is ok (I see "in a meeting" in Communicator if I have a meeting scheduled in Outlook), but I can't see presence in Outlook 2003: the status is always offline in front of email sender.

I tested with two way trust, but no change.

Did someone get through this ?

    Thanks.

    ANSWER:

The answer is in the OCS_MultipleForestDeployment.doc from OCS documentation: SIP address needs to be added as proxy address for Exchange users.
