A secure (https) site is required for claims-based authentication RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I am currently in the process of reinstalling CRM 2011.  The reason for this is to move the MSCRM_CONFIG database to a different server.

Unfortunately, I receive an error during the System Check.  The error is "A secure (https) site is required for claims-based authentication"

We do have IFD configured.  If I try and connect to the origianl database, I get the same error.

Has anyone come across this before?  Is it possible to disable Claims-based Authentication via SQL? How do I create a secure website first so CRM can fit nicely in to it? Is there any other way to get round this error?

  • I have got round this by installing to a new instance hence creating a new MSCRM_CONFIG.  I did not want to do this as now I have to import all of our organisations and reconfigure IFD etc.

  • I just came across this, sure was hoping to find a different solution than installing to a new database.
