CRM 2011 Product key error RRS feed

    Hi there,

    I installed CRM 2011 on test server for testing purpose with multiple user trial product key, after completion of 90 days trial when I try to enter 5 users product key its throwing below error. Is there anyway to change product key without uninstalling the current installation.

    Other Information

    Its an On-Pre installation and 2 organizations.

    Error Message:

    The product key is not compatible with the installed version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Make sure that you have typed the correct product key, and then try again.

    You need to contact the Microsoft sales team or partner to resolve your situation. You can't convert the license.

    Hi M2012,

    if you bought a 5 users key, then you may have bought the workgroup server edition, which does not allow multiple instances. you may need to delete one of the instances and try upgrading to the full license.

    do you know which license type you bought?

    Hi there,

    I want to change product key for my MS CRM 2011 installation but I'm getting below error

    Error Message

    The product key is not compatible with the installed version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Make sure that you have typed the correct product key, and then try again.

    Later I came to know I've installed Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server 2011, but I've Microsoft Dynamics CRM Workgroup Server 2011 product key.

    So, is any way to convert Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server 2011 to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Workgroup Server 2011

    How I make this work ?
