This Copy of Windows in not genuine. Vista Home Premium w/ Compaq Presario F700

    Question

  • In the lower right hand corner of my desktop it now displays...

    Windows Vista (TM)

    Build 6002

This copy of windows is not genuine

Its been like this for a couple of weeks now.  I don't know what changed all the sudden for that to appear but I would like to know what options I have to get rid of it.  I recently backed up all my files to an external source, could i just reset the whole computer or even just upgrade my OS?  Thanks?

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
