select disk to scan RRS feed

  • Question

Hi All. I;m running Windows XP (SP2) Profesional in Partition (drive C: ) on a MacBook Pro Notebook. When Live-One Virus scan runs, it also scans ALL the files on the Mac partition (drive F: ). This takes a horrendous amount of time.

Need some way to set the scan parameters so the virus scan ONLY RUNS ON THE C: drive. Any help out there?

  • Open OneCare, click on Change Settings.

On the Virus and Spyware tab, click the Exclusions button.

Click on the Folder button, navigate to the F: partition and select F:\ and add it to the exclusions list.

Note that this will stop the virus and spyware scans from looking at F:\, but it will not stop Defrag from looking at F:\ during Tune-up. Defrag is not configurable.
