Is this a new retail box copy that you are trying to use to activate a new subscription? If so, and the activation system tells you that the key has been used already, see if you can exchange it at the point of purchase for another copy, or contact support to verify that it is indeed a duplicate.
If you have actually created a subscription with that key, using a different LiveID (email address), then you need to use that same LiveID to activate on this PC.

I purchased it from a retail store and it was sealed but it was like 3 months ago. The thing is, I am using the LIVEID that I thought I used before, but it would not activate then either.Friday, January 4, 2008 6:38 PM

So, then you are trying to activate and you already have a previously activated subscription? Is this a new PC, a reinstall, or a second or 3rd PC for the subscription?
Assuming that you do have a subscription and this is a reinstall, f you don't recall the LiveID you used for your subscription, you will need to contact support who can provide that information to you using your Key and/or contact information.

Alternatively, sign in at http://billing.microsoft.com with email addresses that you have set up as LiveIDs and one will show your subscription listed - that would the LiveID to use to activate the reinstall.
