  • I seem to recall a while back that if you used Microsoft Moeny, your personal accounts info was stored on the MS website...I think...

Is that the case?  And now that the program is going away, is there a way to remove your personal info from their webiste?

  • Some of your account data was stored on Microsoft servers out on the Internet IF you setup a Passport/WinLiveID to authenticate access to your file and used "direct via 3rd party" download services for transaction data or you used any of the features that came and went for being able to see subsets of your Money data by logging into a Money website. The latter features have been gone for quite some time now.

To remove that data you used to have to remove the Passport/WinLiveID from your file. Since these servers are/have gone away, there is probably nothing left to do to remove the data from Microsoft's servers. But this data will probably be in backups and so forth at Microsoft for who knows how long. Data once stored on a managed server is pretty hard to completely eradicate.
