Windows not genuine message RRS feed

  • we had some one build us a computer  a few years ago and the computer was installed with XP pro, for a while everything was working fine but in the last 6 months or so, windows is saying that the copy of xp ic counterfit. Now im thinking of upgrading to vista and i was wondering how this would effect the installation. will i be able to buy the upgrage version or will the purchase of the full version be necessary.  i did the mga diag

    Although I cannot immediately find a direct quote to link, I am sure that nongenuine installations of XP will NOT qualify for an upgrade to Vista.
