Which certificaion to go for? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm entering the job market after a break of 3 years. I have 3 years experience in Winforms (.Net 2005). Which certification will serve me better in securing a job and in convincing the recruiters about my knowledge - MCTS in .Net 2008 or .Net 2010?

    Thanks in advance.

  • You should do both.  That said.  Doing an exam won't convince a recruiter of your knowledge in .Net as you need to back this knowledge up with practical experience.

  • Thanks for your reply. I guess I'd go for 2008 cert for now.

Backing my newly brushed-up knowledge won't be an issue since I do have relevant experience though it is 3 years out of touch.
