Forum not working right

    Question

  • For example, this thread: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/eda4991f-ac30-4e98-87ba-8d528ae7cfde/system-resources-exceeded-ms-access-2010?forum=accessdev

That thread was started in 2013, so I was interested to see what the ‘Last post’ was, since here comes this old thread on the first page of posts. I was deposited somewhere in the middle of the thread, whereas, the LAST post was at the very bottom, found by searching for ‘2016’ with my browser. The last poster was not shown correctly either.

  • The link posted in the original question works for me. But the thread is very long with many replies. That often causes timeout issues, where the thread does not render completely. This happens at times. You can refresh, or wait awhile until you get better performance. It is something we live with.

  • Your examples are just the tip. This forum software has lots of bugs, notably that every 3 or 4 months it refuses to work as it should for a couple of weeks. We have to live with that. Forum programmers are not top notch, hence this environment.

  • George –

I had hoped my phrasing was a fairly complete reporting of anomalous behavior. That’s all.

Since you have already edited your post at least once, why not take another pass and edit out your insults?

  • Complete? Nope. You forgot the facts. I supplied those. Don't try being a hero.

It is possible that there is some problems with the posts in that page. when I check that page on my side it looks correct.

may be you can try to view that page using different Browser to check the issue.

if you still find that issue in different browser also then you can Try Microsoft Support to give feedback regarding this site.

  • Deepak –

    I’m aware of that separation.

Perhaps I should mention that none of the links in the forum header, nor the link to Microsoft “Support”, actually point to a bug-report page.

Now in your sig block, you begin with “We are trying to better understand customer views on social support experience,”. The link under HERE in that block of text 404s to a non-existent page. So I can’t take the non-existent(?) survey, and I can’t report a bug, so … what to do?

  • Hi Peter,

I check the link and find that The link is broken and they had remove the Feedback page.

As I told you we are not directly in touch with that team.

As per your description I understand that currently you are not able to submit your feedback.

so I had a discussion regarding this issue with my superiors to take action against this and contact to that team via internal feedbacks to again make it working properly.

Hope they will try to concentrate on this issue and solve it as soon as possible.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Regards

    Deepak
