  • Jimmys,

You are running a slightly older version of the WGA Notification Tool.

Try a direct download at this link:  http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=69498 Then restart the computer.

Let us know if it works for you.

What happens when you go to www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag and start the browser diagnostics?

  • I am having the same problem;  Microsoft ActiveX controls do not load.  I can go through the Microsoft Genuine Advantage sequence and it says I have a valid program, I just cannot download anything from Microsoft.  Spent hours on phone with Microsoft.  Having problem with two Dell systems, 8300 and xpx 400.

Any suggestions?  How do I generate the "Diagnostic report I see ?

    Thanks

  •  Attention Users with the "Exact Same Problem"

Please create your Own thread for your Own specific issue and include a description and a Diagnostic Report.

Issues that look the same, may have distinctly different causes and fixes.
(i.e. If your Exact Same Problem is not resolved by the step that fixed the Original Poster's issue, then you obviously Do Not have the Exact Same Problem)

Any posts that are not either written by the Original Poster or are a constructive response to the Original Poster's issue, Will be deleted or ignored.
