    I installed whs on a dedicated machine no problem. I have 2 desktops that I wanted to connect to the server with, I connected using the homserver/connect url no problems, I installed the software, after that on both machines when I type in the url of the server I get a login box asking for a username and password. I did not set up a username or password so I have no Idea wht to put in. It did the same on the other machine.

    Please help,

    Hi,

    the user name could be one valid on the server, i.e. yourservername\Admin and the console password.

    Better is to create user accounts in the server console first, which are matching the client user accounts regarding user name and password (a password is mandatory).

    Thanks for the reply, I had neglected to set up user accounts on the server, I can sign in now.
