Should everyone in your organization be a resource RRS feed

  • Question

  • we have synced our resource to AD and it pulls in all employees (2000 employees) into resources....what I notice now is that we are having a difficult time with assigning RBS to these resources...should we minimize the number of resources we pull in and don't think there is a real need to have all employees in there with an RBS assigned...any insight would help?

    Thanks

No, not every employee in your organization needs to be in the Enterprise Resource Pool.  The only people who should be in the Enterprise Resource Pool are the people who will perform actual work in projects.  So, this means that your executives probably do not need to be in the pool if they do not work in projects.  People who do not work in projects but who need to see information in Project Server, such as your executives, can be added as users only and not as resources.  Hope this helps.
