ICE not saving images properly RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have discovered a bug in ICE where it correctly blends the images together within the application but when saving it as a JPG or TIFF it incorrectly overlays the images.

See the before and after photos where a person in the background and foreground on different pictures are lost during the saving process.

    Before in the ICE console:

After once saved as a JPG:

  • This is not a bug of ICE it is called parallaxe which is caused because the camera does not rotate around the NPP (Non-Parallaxe-Point), probably because the panorama was made hand-held. What you see within ICE is a preview and only generated fast, estimating blend-factor where the application tries to correct the error. In the final computed result is visibile that the correction "saved" the landscape which is not cut off, but in order to correct parallaxe image distorsion is used, so parts in the forground do not match anymore they get cut.
