Question about extending subscription time RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I bought two copies of onecare (they were on sale). I activated my subscription with one and now I'd like to use the other one to extend my subscription from one year to two. Is this possible? Can I do it now or do I need to wait until my first year expires and then renew with the other key?

    Thanks.

  • You can use a retail key to "renew" or extend your subscription for a second 12 months at any time after the initial subscription is created.

Go to http://billing.microsoft.com and sign in with your subscription LiveID. (Open OneCare and click help/about to view the subscription LiveID)

Select the OneCare subscription and click on the renew link.

Choose the option to renew with a prepaid PIN or token which is the retail product key.

Enter the 25 character key and proceed.

It can take up to 24 hours for the subscription status to be updated in OneCare.
