When contract is marked as Active, New Contract Line button still enabled RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I've noticed that when I mark a contract as Active (by selecting the "invoice contract" option) all fields lock on Contract and Contract Line. This is fine. However there is still a "new contract line" button on the contract lines section. I would like to turn this off when the contract is active can anyone help?

    Also is there a simple way to get the status of the parent contract from the contract line form. I can do this with a SOAP call but was just wondering if there is quicker method.

  • Hi,

    If you want to go the supported way, you can write a script on OnLoad event of the Contract Line which would interpret this.

    OnLoad of Contract Line, make a web service call to the Contract entity (you can get the GUID from the Lookup) to check if the Contract is Active. If yes, give an alert to the User (Cannot add Contract Lines. Contract is Active) and close the Contract Line window.
