  Q: Is there a way to test customer reports in the migration without being connected to their database?

  A: Yes.  As long as you have the sysdata (*.f32 files, *.g32 files, frxsys32.mdb) during the migration process, you can map the customers segments (from the *.g32 files) to whatever database you are connecting to.  This will allow for all of the data (rows, columns, trees, catalogs) to be migrated and converted.
