I keep getting the message that my software is not genuine. I bought my computer with Vista on it and MS Office Professional from Best Buy. The utility says it is genuine. Help make the error message go away. Results of the diagnostic below.

Hello Peracer,
Here is a snippet of your mgadiag report:
OGA Data-->
Office Status: 108 Invalid VLK
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 - 108 Invalid VLK
OGA Version: Registered, 2.0.48.0
Signed By: Microsoft
Office Diagnostics: 025D1FF3-364-80041010_025D1FF3-229-80041010_025D1FF3-230-1_025D1FF3-517-80040154_025D1FF3-237-80040154_025D1FF3-238-2_025D1FF3-244-80070002_025D1FF3-258-3
The Office Professional Plus 2007 installed on your Dell Inspiron computer is an edition of Office that is properly sold only thru the Volume Licensing program to larger businesses, educational institutions and governmental agencies. This installation was done with an invalid Product Key made by a pirating program known as a Key Generator. The product key was NOT issued by Microsoft, making it Invalid.
If your use of the installed Office Professional Plus 2007 is in association with a larger business, educational institution, or governmental agency that might have a Volume Licensing Agreement with Microsoft, please report this nongenuine problem to your organization's IT support staff for further troubleshooting and resolution.
If you are an individual consumer, you should never have been sold Volume Licensing materials such as a VL CD, and you certainly should not have received an Invalid Product Key. Quite often people purchase what is advertised and packaged as a retail license for Office Professional 2007, but all too often, the product they receive is a counterfeit Office package that installs a nongenuine copy of Office Professional Plus 2007. This could be the situation in your case.
The computer was not shipped from Dell with this particular installation of Office Professional Plus 2007, because Dell does not ship computers intended for retail sale with Volume Licensing software installed. It is also very unlikely that this particular installation of Office Professional Plus 2007 was installed by Best Buy, because they do not sell Volume Licensing software. What is much more likely is that at one time your computer did have a Genuine installation of Office installed, but for some reason it was replaced with the current installation, which is nongenuine. This could have happened if you took your computer to a repair shop and they reinstalled Windows and/or some or all of your programs. You Get Genuine once again by uninstalling the current nongenuine installation of Office, and using your Genuine Microsoft hologrammed Office installation CDs, along with the genuine Product Key found on your Office Edition's Certificate of Authenticity, to put back the genuine installation of Office you may have already had on the computer.

I will reinstall the software that I have. It was not associated with my company and my computer has never been out of my home. I did the install and have the original hologrammed office CD's. I have not done any updates other than those that I get via my auto updates from MS so this is very disturbing. Thanks for the help.Thursday, February 11, 2010 4:49 AM

I uninstalled and reinstalled by Office Suite of products and when I launched Word it said it was non genuine with a 9 day warning. I then tried to run the validation utility so that I could send it along with this post and it does not give me any result. I click on Validate Office, a screen with a green circle appears and then it goes back to this screen

What now?
