Sync toy batch file RRS feed

  • Question

    Hello folks,

Im looking for some help that is beyond my thinking. I work in a primary school and i'm in the process of trying to create a shared iTunes folder on our server that will allow users to add music to their local itunes and sync it to the server, and then to echo music anyone else may have added using synctoy.

I have it working perfectly using the program, but trying to explain how to do it to the teachers would be like trying to explain chaos theory to a potato.

Could anybody point me in the direction of how i would do this in a batch file. I want it to contribute on folder from local to server and to echo the same folder from server to local.

Any help would be most appreciated.

  • SyncToy.exe has a command line interface that can help you setup the correct folder pairs for the users, if that's what you're looking for? Run "C:\program files\synctoy 2.0\synctoy.exe -?" to get help on it.
