Upgrade to Windows 10 wth a preinstalled version of Windows 7 Home RRS feed

  • Question

  • I Like to know if a preinstalled version of windows 7 gives the right to a free upgrade to windows 10. If not are there ways to get a new version against a reduced price.

  • ANY genuine installation of Windows 7 qualifies for the free upgrade, so far as I am aware.

You should ask this question in the Windows Community forums for a more qualified response... http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install-winactivate

  • Noel, this is Colin Barnhorst.  Before two cancers and a pacemaker I helped out in this forum.  I was the one who wrote the stickies explaining Windows 7 licenses.  I am at "c DOT barnhorst AT comcast DOT net" and would like to hear from you.
