problem accessing Custom entity class RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi all,

i have created a custom entity called   "Bills"  with attributes and inserted few records on to it,its worked fine.

now i tried to access this data from webservices,

i didnt find any class so called new_bills   under the class System.Microsoft.Crm.CrmSdkProxy class

just like leads, contacts im not able to see the new entity.

its the webservice responsible to create the newly created entity's class and methods.

whats went wrong in my case??

    Thanks & Regards Vijender Reddy

  • Hi

Microsoft.Crm.SdkTypeProxy   assembly only has the default Entities and Atrributes that have come with MSCRM originally[default Installation]. To use the custom attributes or entites as part of customisations will not be possible with this assembly so they introduced the concept of Dynamic Entity.

If you want to see your customisations then you should use CRM Web Service i.e. include a web reference to your CRM as following

Doing so you can see all your custom entites and custom attributes that you have added to your CRM Installation.

Please have a look at this article about

Choosing Between the WSDL and Assemblies

    Hope this helps. Amar
