New computer activation code problems RRS feed

  • Question

  • I bought a HP laptop from best buy about a week ago that came with windows seven already on it. It worked good for a few days but suddenly windows said that my version of windows 7 was counterfit and that i needed to buy a new copy. I tried to type in the code on the sticker found at the bottom of my laptop but it stated that that code was not good for windows seven. Ive been through the website for a while now but nothing seems to work. Is there anything that i need to do for the code to work?
