Validation Issue with New Windows 7 error 0x8004fe21 RRS feed

  • Question

  • As instructed I ran the Diagnostic Tool and pasted the results below.

The product key appears to be what was issued with the newly purchased product.  It was purchased through Microsoft.

So please explain why the Not Running Genuine Windows message continues to appear.

This is the second instance of this occurring.  The product purchased that is giving us this error is the replacement purchased from Microsoft because of the first instance of this occurring.  Unfortunately, the office had moved and the original disks (keys) were misplaced.  So it was just more cost effective to repurchase a new copy of the software to correct the problem.

Obviously, this wasn't the issue.  The original OS had been running without incident since it was originally installed in June of 2012.  The error started occurring in September of 2013.

I have run the manual installation as some posts recommended and received the successful activation notice.

      Please help.
