windows activation error code 0xC004E002

Question
-
Hello,
I am a student in college. I took my laptop to the technical support center to get cleaned off and have all of my files transferred onto an external hard drive as I've just gotten a new desktop. When I went to pick it up they said that everything went fine but windows needs to be reactivated and the product key is coming up invalid-I was told I needed to contact Microsoft. They gave me what my product key is and I get the error code 0xC004E002. I do not know if this really is my product key as the sticker on my laptop is worn off and I cant locate my disc that came with the laptop. As far as I'm aware, nothing has been replaced on this laptop. Any ideas?
Thank You
Angela

The current Product Key is the Toshiba OEM_SLP Key - if your techs reinstalled using anything other than the Toshiba recovery media, this Key will not work.
You need to change the Product Key to the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case (or inside the battery compartment), using the Change Product Key link at the bottom of the System properties page.
You may need to activate by phone.
