configure office 2016 to be run as the interactive user RRS feed

  • Dear All,

    I install office professional 2013 in one server and set as run with interactive user as below step. My .net web program can use Microsoft.Interop components easily.

    Open DCOM Config Settings:

    1. Start -> dcomcnfg.exe
    2. Computer
    3. Local Computer
    4. Config DCOM
    5. Search for Microsoft Word 97-2003 Documents -> Properties

    Tab Identity, change from Launching User to Interactive User

    Now I install office professional 2016 in another server. I cannot find the word component in component service. The web program keep loading in the browser when Microsoft.office.interop.word.document is opening the document.

    All office software that I installed are "product activated".

    Anybody has this experience?
