menus overlapping RRS feed

  • Hi everyone,

    I run CRM from the browser. The computer has Windows 7 and the IE is 8.0. The problem is that menus are overlapping.

    For example, in the browser, menu Go To, if a stand on Workarea, the submenu is under the main one, instead of showing beside it. Any suggestions?

    That sounds interesting (if not a little annoying) - Would you be able to post a link to a screenshot of the overlapping area? I cant visualize the issue in me head :)

  • Hi Carola,

    This is a known issue with CRM 4.0 and IE 8. Please see this blog for more details: http://brettdaviscrm.blogspot.com/2010/09/internet-explorer-8-and-broken-menus-in.html

    In short, you can resolve this by upgrading CRM to the latest rollup (this issue was fixed in UR 9), or by changing the 'Allow script initiated windows without size or position constraints' setting to 'Enable' in the client side internet security zone that the CRM server is in.

  • Yeap, finally found that thread after 6 hours of searching..ha!

    That was the case; the rollup by itself doesn't fix the problem. With 'Allow script initiated windows without size or position constraints' setting,  works perfect!
