XP aborts booting when Live Mesh login starts RRS feed

  • Question

  • After successfully resolving a problem with Outlook (Outlook.pst on size limit) on 10/11/09 Live Mesh would not run on PC. After failed attempts to reinstall finally removed PC from Livemesh.com and uninstalled from PC making a Restore point  . Reinstalled and suprisingly all the sync settings were there. Did a restart without shutting down PC and all operational. After a shutting down with PC off and when the PC was started again the PC boots until the Mesh Login starts then crashes. To recover use safe mode and return to restore point made. No Mesh running. Pity really as LiveMesh was so useful.

  • With the system restore and reinstall or Live Mesh, I'm not sure what to tell you, but obviously, crashing on start - either Live Mesh or the OS is not a good thing. You've removed Live Mesh again, so there's not much that can be analyzed. If you choose to reinstall, you can submit a but report with logs per the instructions here:

How to Submit Bugs and Live Mesh Logs

Note that you probably won't get a response to the bug report, though. It will be transferred to the internal system to be assigned to the appropriate development group.
