Do I need PBX for OCS 2007 RRS feed

  • Sorry about such a newbie question.  We have 60 employees in a single location.  Our PBX is 20 years old and rather than buying a new PBX, could we use OCS 2007 & Exchange 2007 for all of our internal and external calls?  We currently have both voice and data T-1 lines.  Does the voice T1 need to be a PRI T1 vs a Supertrunk T1.

    Can anyone recommend a OCS 2007 integrator?

  • You can use OCS and the OCS-capable phones due out later this year (Tanjay or Polycom CX700 for example) plus a gateway (Audiocodes, Dialogic) to handle inbound and outbound calling.  Add Exchange 2007 to that for VM & UM and you should be all set.
