Activation of BOTH Vista & Microsoft Office 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I type in the correct product key found on my laptop for Windows activation and it's invalid. It has Windows Vista Home Premium OEMact HP on its COA. So I try phone activation and still doesn't work.
Same problem with Microsoft Office activation. Yes it's the full version.

  • Hi,

Thanks, yes I have activated Vista by phone now. But I still can't activate Office. I go into the Activation Wizard for the Office products, type in the product key which it reports is invalid, and that's all I can do. It doesn't lead me into another option so that I can activate it by phone too. What should I do? How can I get to activating Office by phone?

    Thank you.

  • Hello S3r39d1p17Y,

You said that you have tried Activating by Phone and it didn't work.  What did the Live Activation Rep, that you talked to, say was the problem?

If you didn't talk to a Live Activation Rep, please try Activating by Phone again, but this time, when you hear the Phone Prompt, either select the option to talk to the Live Activation Rep or if there is no option, don't enter anything into the phone and that should force the Phone Prompt to transfer you to the Live Rep.

    Thank you,
    Darin MS

  • Hi again,

Also, when it asks for the Product Key, that's the Product Key on my COA sticker on my laptop isn't it? That's the only Product Key I have.
