  • Your computer is using an activation exploit. You will need to remove the exploit and purchase and install a valid product key or reinstall the original OS that the computer shipped with. Check the COA sticker on the bottom of your laptop, see what version of windows is represented there, install that version with that key and activate by phone or restore your computer by using the restoration utility provided by acer (read the user guide or manual).

Another option would be to install the version represented on that key and activate by phone by typing "slui 4" without the qoutes in the search box, hit enter, select country, dial the number provided but do not hit any keys from menu options, wait for a person to answer then activate by phone.

COA key MUST be activated by phone.

    THanks

    Acer hardware

  • I believe dvc-jp and Carl_OH are correct, but to confirm, I recommend going to http://microsoft.com/genuine and click the Validate Windows button.

    Thank you,
