Need Help Selecting A Intel Chipset?

Question

I cannot find a list of intel supported chipsets for a buildout of a WHS. I am leaning towards the following chipset. Intel G45. I do not see that it supports WS2003/WHS drivers but it does support XP drivers. Do you see any issues with running the following motherboard with WHS.I am also open to other chipsets but I need the following ports.4-5 internal SATA 3.0Gb1 eSataDVI1 IDEHere is the actual motherboard I am looking at.Also is there a list that shows a list of chipsets running WHS with XP or WS2003 drivers?Friday, June 5, 2009 6:08 PM

Ideally, you want hardware that has Server 2003 drivers. If it doesn't, XP drivers might work in place of 2003 (but they might not). The Windows Server Catalog website should help point you in the right direction.- Proposed as answer by kariya21Moderator Friday, June 5, 2009 11:04 PM

Chek out the ASUS P5Q WS, It looks a similar board priced about the same maybe a bit more but it has 2003 drivers on the asus site.Saturday, June 6, 2009 9:08 PM
