I keep getting message/error # 8059 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I purchased Windows live one care at a retail location, and had a free trial period running on my pc.  Now that the free trial period is over, I can not activate my subscription.  I have a windows live i.d., but then I am asked to enter in a product key, and then I get the error 8059.  I've gone through the steps 3 times now without success - I am worried that because I have entered in the product key 3 times, I have used up the 3 licenses I have to use the product on 3 different pc's.

  • The 8059 error typically means that the key has been used before. If you received this the very first time you activated, or attempted to, I suspect that your key is a duplicate key. You can contact support to have them verify this or simply exchange the retail package at the retail store, if possible, explaining that you want an exchange as the key has been reported as used.

Since you cannot validate a subscription, select the option that you are using a trial or beta copy and you can proceed to email support without validation once you've signed in.
