SrsDataConnector blank SSRS instance dropdown RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am trying to install SrsDataConnector but  could not find any SSRS instance in the dropdown.

    I have installed update rollup 6 & 13. I have checked the reporting service configuration and it is working fine and able to connect with the report server db.

    Configuration is -

    CRM 2011

    Sql Server 2012 SP1

    Sql server 2008 reporting services SP2

    I have even tried with the following config.xml file but no result.

    <crmsetup>
    <srsdataconnector>
    <configdbserver></configdbserver>
    <autoupdateconfigdb>1</autoupdateconfigdb>
    <reportserverurl>xxxxxxxxxxx report server url path xxxxxxxx</reportserverurl>
    <autogroupmanagementoff>0</autogroupmanagementoff>
    <instancename>CRMDEV</instancename>
    <configsku>OnPremise</configsku>
    <webstore enabled="false" configdb="false"/>
    <monitoring>
    <serviceaccountname></serviceaccountname>
    <serviceaccountpassword></serviceaccountpassword>
    </monitoring>
    </srsdataconnector>
    </crmsetup>

    Both my CRM and SQL Server  are on the same machine.

    Can anyone plz help me out with the same?

  • Hope you are trying to install SrsDataConnector on the same machine where SQL Server is installed.

    Also check SQL Server, SQL Server Agent and SSRS services are running.

  • Hi,

    Yes I am installing SrsDataConnector on the same machine where SQL Server is installed. I have all the things installed on a single machine.

    And all the mentioned services are running.

    Thanks

  • Was SSRS installed in native mode or SharePoint mode?  It needs to be installed in native mode.  This is not something that can be changed or switched if you are currently installed in SharePoint mode.  It requires an uninstall and re-install or you could point to another SSRS server.

    Can you hit the reports manager from the browser?  http://<server name>/reports
