  • My tech said he put in a valid key.

    Thank you,

The key in the report cannot and will not ever activate a machine regardless of who put it in.  The Product Key that has to be entered is the one on the Certificate of Authenticity.  And the OS that is listed on the Certificate of Authenticity must match the OS that is being installed on the computer.  When the tech says "I put in a valid key.", the next question should be "WHICH key did you put in and WHERE did it come from?"  For this install, the correct answer is "The one that is listed on the Certificate of Authenticity sticker."

  • Even though you got the error message, the information is in the copy buffer.  Go ahead and paste it in anyway.  You may also want to edit out any website portions of the report because it may not let you post a thread with a web address.  Those addresses are not needed for the analysis.

This is the Default Windows 7 Ultimate Keyless Install key, which can never activate.  You need to put in the actual Product Key that is on your Certificate of Authenticity sticker, and the version that you are activating has to match what is on the sticker.
