  • The windows installation on your Dell PC is using a loader to emulate an HP SLIC bios marker and is also using the blocked Lenovo key. Please look on the bottom, side or in the batter compartment (laptop) for a COA sticker that will show which version of windows is supposed to be installed. Please use the factory restoration media or factory restore function (instructions found in your manual) to restore the appropriate, licensed version of window.

Alternatively you can use the key on the COA sticker, and an OEM system builder disk to reinstall windows, and activate by phone. A qualified shop of technician can do that for you.

  • Carl is correct, the key that is being used has been blocked and will no longer work.

To clarify the reinstall procedure: to reinstall Windows using the key from the CoA sticker, you will need to make sure that the CoA sticker and the disk is the same version level (Home Premium, Professional, etc.). There is no distinction between OEM/Retail, the media is the same. Additionally, you will need to use phone activation and talk to a representative to reactivate Windows.
