massive Printing Problems with HP Printers on W2K8 R2 RDS Evtid#s: 1000 interactive service detection, 811 error while copying hpzppwn7.dll, 808 error loading unidrvui.dll RRS feed

  • We got problems with printing in a RDS environment without getting a definite error condition, mostly printing works, sometimes

    print jobs get simply lost.

    We have a W2K8 R2 RDS Server and an W2K8 R2 Printserver. All printer are spooled via the printserver without CSR.

    We got a lot of errors in the application and printservice logs of the RDS-Servers. We seem to get no erros in the log of the print server.

    We use mainly HP 2015 DN Printers and have difficulties in finding the driver who is causing the problem, may be there can be several causes. For example unidrvui.dll is used by

    different HP printer drivers simultaneously in the same version.

    We have some CANON printers as well, they don't seem to experience any errors.

    How can we further investigate this issue ? This is important for us, because print driver change is causing a lot of trouble regarding changes in the ERP system.

  • Did find a solution.

    I was due a Native HP Driver 61.74.651.43 HP Laserjet 2015 PCL 6.

    This driver was not acting right in a terminalserver environment, despite HP said no problem.

    The printer driver sometimes gave his outpu into the local console of the TS, which did cause the spooler servcie to crash sometimes.

    Replaced driver with UPD 5.6.
